Beyond Veneers and Cosmetic Dentistry - No Drilling, No Surgery

Some patients are only missing one tooth, which a quick dental implant surgery can replace. The dental implant replaces the missing tooth but also has advantages as it is never sensitive, doesn't decay and chews very much like a normal tooth.
In the discussion of implants, it is important to keep a perspective that the ultimate level of dental care can have an impact on the youthfulness of your face. The bite that is developed is the key to the shape of the patient's face. The best-shaped faces look younger and have less jaw tension and stress. Patients who want dental implants, porcelain veneers or cosmetic dentistry need to understand that the key to success is to find a dentist with the technical and artistic skills to put it all together with many years of experience.
Some patients are missing more than one tooth, which can be replaced by individual implants or with a dental bridge. While other patients are wearing dentures because they lost all of their teeth, dental implants can be used to give the denture a “snap-in” type of retention to keep the denture secure.
When a patient has teeth under their denture, the jawbone stays much higher than areas where there are no teeth. Teeth and dental implants save the height of the bone from being resorbed. Bone will melt away when teeth are missing and bone will remain more stable when dental implants replace the teeth.
Patients that are wearing dentures and partial dentures should have dental implants to preserve the jawbone under the denture.
The big advantage of dental implants is the anti-aging effect of saving the jawbone under dentures and partial dentures because implants have the ability to stabilize and provide retention that is clearly superior to any other method.
Sometimes patients that need to have a tooth extracted and may want an implant in the future. The problem when a tooth is extracted is the bone shrinks down. It is in the patient’s best interest to have the socket grafted after the extraction in order to get bone growth inside the socket to “fill in”. If the tooth is extracted and no bone graft is completed, the socket will collapse and the height of the bone may be too low for the patient to have a dental implant in the future.
Usually, the patient would benefit from an immediate bone graft or an immediate implant. Just about any socket can have a bone graft but this is not the same for a dental implant. A dental implant needs a lot more bone available before it is placed so sometimes the patient can only have a bone graft and then a few months later have a dental implant. Other times, there is enough bone available so the dental implant can be placed the very same time that the tooth is extracted.
After years of dental neglect, this patient was being encouraged by his family to get treatment. Tom was not pleased with the level of dental care he received in the past.
However, he was able to make the decision quickly when he was watching KTLA News in Los Angeles with Gail Anderson, a live TV Broadcast reporter, interviewing Dr. Sam Muslin and two of his patients on Live TV in his office. KTLA News is Southern California’s largest news broadcast with millions of viewers. He made an appointment for a consultation.
Many of his teeth were worn down and some of his teeth were cracked and fractured. His overall bite had collapsed and he was in need of an organized treatment plan including dental implants, fixed porcelain bridges, gum treatment, a crown extension surgery and porcelain crowns.
After finding a website that had many remarkable before and after dental photos, he watched a video clip featuring Dr. Sam Muslin on KTLA Morning News in Los Angeles. He was very impressed with Gayle Anderson and watches her on the news frequently.
She was featuring the work of Sam Muslin DDS of Santa Monica California, which included some remarkable dental implants cases that convinced him to move forward. He was watching the reporter go over the photos in the dentist’s office and also she was talking with patients that already had extensive dentistry completed.
Premature aging results from worn down teeth. When the teeth wear down, the face gets shorter and the chin gets smaller. The effects of premature aging give the impression that the patient is old and tired. Because patients are living longer, high tech dentistry has been developed to reverse years of aging and one of the most well documented reconstruction methods in the country is Dr. Sam Muslin’s Face Lift Dentistry® procedure.
He has one of the countries largest before and after photo galleries of unaltered photos of his patients receiving all types of complex dentistry. These photos are the best testimonials that a dentist could have besides Gail Anderson and KTLA news.
In order to get his patients a younger look in the most natural state possible, Face Lift Dentistry® was developed to establish the most ideal facial height though is exclusive non-surgical vertical dimension technique. The entire process of developing the most functionally ideal vertical dimension that is combined with the occlusal plane dimension can create the characteristics of a much younger face.
He uses technology that makes his non-surgical anti-aging Face Lift Dentistry® treatment so highly predictable and quick that his patients are willing to let him show their before and after anti-aging dentistry photos on the Internet. Many of these patients have traveled very long distances to be treated by this dentist.
The facial support achieved with this exclusive process provides permanent support for the patient’s face by providing the best anti-aging dentistry treatment possible. This treatment is done very quickly, without surgery. He does not have to grind down healthy teeth which has been another huge technology breakthrough using his VENLAY® restorations.
There are patients on this website that have had full mouth reconstructions and have never needed to have needles, shots or teeth grinding. The entire full mouth reconstruction was completed with his exclusive non-invasive VENLAY® bite correction that improves that patients jaw position and ultimately their entire face. Cosmetic dentistry is only about the smile and does little to help the face, but Face Lift Dentistry® can change your life.
Dentistry is the key to permanent facial support and also the key to the shape of the patients face. Most people considering a face lift do not realize that Dr. Sam Muslin’s Face Lift Dentistry® treatment can permanently lengthen the face, smooth out wrinkles, improve the chin position and facial profile with non-surgical dental care.
Dentistry determines the length of the patients face and the teeth determine how large the lower jaw will look. Most people that have a small looking chin actually have a normal size chin that is in the recessive chin position.
Chin implants are not necessary and neither is chin augmentation surgery in most cases. Dentistry can make the chin look larger and permanently lengthen the patient’s face. When you look at the before and after photo gallery on this website, you are seeing patients willing to share their “before” photos to help new patients realize that having this dentist provide their care is worth the trip. Tom said, "thank you Dr. Muslin, you and your staff have changed my life!"
